Pool Engineering That Balances Water Quality and Long-Term Running Cost

From infinity-edge villas to hotel and club pools, Neptune designs pool filtration, pumping and water treatment systems that hold water quality without inflating your running cost.

The problem

Pools are judged on water clarity — and running cost

A pool system oversold on filtration capacity looks fine on paper and drains the electricity bill in practice. An undersized one never holds clarity, however often you shock-dose it.

Cloudy or green water

Under-filtered pools lose clarity fast, especially with infinity-edge or high bather-load designs.

High energy bills

Oversized pumps running continuously push up operating cost without improving water quality.

Complex edge hydraulics

Infinity and vanishing-edge pools need balance-tank and pumping design that generic contractors get wrong.

Infinity Pools

Edge hydraulics engineered, not guessed

Infinity and vanishing-edge pools depend on correctly sized balance tanks and pumping to keep the overflow sheet consistent without wasting water or energy.

  • Balance-tank sizing matched to overflow rate
  • Edge-flow pumping for a consistent visual sheet
  • Integrated with filtration & treatment design

Pool Filtration

Filtration sized to your turnover rate

A pool filtration system pulls water through sand or cartridge media on a repeating cycle, sized so the full pool volume turns over within the time your bather load and local norms require.

  • Turnover-rate sizing, not a flat catalog spec
  • Sand or cartridge media matched to pool type
  • Backwash and cleaning cycles built into design

Pool Pumping

Right-sized circulation, lower energy draw

Pool circulation pumps are sized to your filtration turnover requirement — not oversized "to be safe," which is the single biggest driver of unnecessary pool running cost.

  • Variable-speed pumping for energy savings
  • Quiet operation for residential & hospitality sites
  • Sized alongside filtration & edge hydraulics as one system

Pool Water Treatment

Sanitization matched to your pool type

From chlorine dosing to salt-chlorination systems, Neptune specifies pool water treatment that fits your bather load, pool finish and maintenance preferences.

  • Chlorine or salt-based sanitization systems
  • pH and dosing control for consistent water balance
  • AMC-backed maintenance after installation

Why Neptune

Benefits of pool systems sized right

Consistent water clarity

Filtration and turnover matched to bather load hold clarity without over-dosing chemicals.

Lower running cost

Right-sized, variable-speed pumping cuts electricity draw versus oversized fixed-speed setups.

Reliable edge hydraulics

Infinity and vanishing-edge designs that hold their visual sheet without wasting water.

One accountable partner

Filtration, pumping and treatment designed, installed and maintained as one system.

FAQs

Swimming pool solutions — common questions

How much does an infinity pool filtration system cost?+
Cost depends on pool volume, turnover rate, filtration type and site conditions, so there's no single figure that applies across projects. Share your pool dimensions and we'll put together a real, site-specific estimate — request a quote and an engineer will follow up.
How often should pool water be filtered?+
Most pools are designed for a full turnover of the total water volume every 6-8 hours during operating periods, which typically means running the filtration pump 8-12 hours a day. The exact cycle depends on bather load, pool type and local regulations.
What's the difference between chlorine and salt-based pool treatment?+
Chlorine-based treatment doses chlorine directly to sanitize the water. Salt-based (salt chlorination) systems dissolve salt in the pool and use an electrolytic cell to generate chlorine on-site, generally giving gentler water feel and more consistent dosing, at a higher upfront equipment cost.
Do you maintain pools after installation?+
Yes. Neptune offers AMC and maintenance support for pool filtration, pumping and water treatment systems after installation — see our Services page for coverage details.
